Delicious Easter treats, quality made from real butter and lots of egg, a small masterpiece, handmade: the utopian-pittoresque Charlie-and-the-chocolate-factory illusion mixes grotesquely with the consumerist calculations of shopping malls. In a former chocolate store at Ring Center 1 on Frankfurter Allee, Stella is an exhibition space that, between adhesive foils, spotlights, artificial MDF walls and showcases, attempts to find a way of dealing with the affect economies of baroque consumerism and to explore the relationship to these structures with artistic narratives.
